To save the X-Men from certain death, Jean Grey called upon the Phoenix Force, a powerful comsic entity. Before the X-Men could destroy it, the Phoenix Force destroyed an entire planet after assuming Jean's identity. Now the Phoenix, risen back to life, has returned to Earth seeking to reunite with Jean Grey only to find her former host dead and buried. Can the X-Men stop her once more without Jean Grey to control her?
